Bayeux Tapestry
Bayeux Tapestry
Go and see the beautiful Bayeux Tapestry – in handwork it justifies William the Conqueror’s invasion of England. It is 230 feet long and it was probably commissioned by Bishop Odo of Bayeux. It shows the Battle of hastings with King Harolds defeat – including Harold getting an arrow in his eye! you can recognise the English by their moustashes and the french because they are clean-shaven. The audio visual explanation is vey good.
