Beroun is a small town of about 20,000 inhabitants located in the Czech Republic, in the region of Central Bohemia. Despite its small size, it is an administrative center akin to a “county seat�. It lies on the motorway that connects Prague with Plzen and, farther afield, with Bavaria, Germany. It is approximately 40 km from the center of Prague.
