The Bois de Boulogne is supposedly modelled on London’s Hyde Park, though it is a very French Interpretation. It offers all sorts of facilities : The Jardin d’Acclimatation, with lots of attractions for kids, the Parc de Bagatelle Mº Port-de-Neuilly, then bus#43 or Mº Porte-Maillot, then bus#244, which features beautiful displays of tulips, hyacinths and daffodils in the first half of April, Irises in May, water lilies and roses at the end of June, a riding school, bike rental at the entrance to the Jardin d’Acclimatation, boating on the Lac Inferieur, and race courses at Longchamp and Auteuil. The best and wildest part for walking is towards the southern corner.
