City of Westminster : Britain

City of Westminster : Britain
The City of Westminster is a London borough and a city in its own right, situated to the west of the City of London and north of the River Thames. It was extended in 1965 to include the former Metropolitan Boroughs of St. Marylebone and Paddington in the north; as such, it covers a much wider area than the traditional geographic area of Westminster. The city contains most of London’s West End, as well as the permanent headquarters of the United Kingdom’s government, with the Palace of Westminster, Whitehall, and the Royal Courts of Justice.
